If accurate, that would be a major capacity increase over the previous generation and would put battery endurance near the center of the OnePlus 16’s pitch. Large battery numbers do not automatically translate into proportionally longer real-world runtime, however. Display tuning, modem efficiency, chipset power behavior, thermal limits and software background activity all matter.

A 200MP main camera is also being reported

The latest detailed leak describes a rear camera system with a 200MP primary camera, a 50MP ultrawide and a 50MP telephoto camera. Android Authority separately reports the same broad 200MP + 50MP + 50MP configuration.

That would be a notable shift for OnePlus, but megapixel count alone does not determine image quality. Sensor size, optics, autofocus, stabilization, HDR processing and low-light tuning can matter more than the headline resolution. Until OnePlus publishes the final camera hardware and sample images, the 200MP figure should be treated as a leaked specification rather than a finished-camera verdict.

Chipset reports do not completely agree

There is one important inconsistency in today’s reports: the exact naming of the next Snapdragon flagship chip. 91mobiles refers to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, while Android Authority’s latest report uses Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. That naming conflict is a good reason not to treat either label as final until Qualcomm and OnePlus publish the official product name.
