ReVanced Manager for Android is the official open-source manager used by the ReVanced project to select, patch and manage supported Android apps. Unlike websites that distribute pre-patched proprietary APKs, ReVanced Manager is itself published as open-source software and is designed to apply supported patches through the manager workflow.
Official download
Use the ReVanced project’s own download page or the official GitHub releases. ReVanced’s repository identifies the manager as GPL-3.0 licensed and links users to those official download channels.
Source: official ReVanced project. The download is not a third-party mirror.
Current stable release
The ReVanced changelog lists 2.6.1, released on May 11, 2026, as the latest stable release before the 2.7.0 development series. The 2.6.1 update fixed an empty-locale crash, while 2.6.0 introduced a larger group of patcher, updater and interface fixes.
What ReVanced Manager actually does
ReVanced Manager provides a graphical Android interface for choosing supported apps, selecting patches and building a patched result. The project also exposes patch, signing, source and update controls through the manager.
This is different from downloading a random “Premium MOD APK” from an unknown mirror. The official manager is the tool; which patches are available and whether a patched app is appropriate to use depends on the target application, the patch and the applicable terms or rights.
Why this page is listed under MOD APKs
ReVanced belongs to the Android modding ecosystem because its purpose is to modify supported Android apps through a patching workflow. However, the manager itself is an open-source application distributed by the ReVanced project, so we can link directly to its official release source rather than relying on a third-party binary mirror.
Open-source licensing
The official ReVanced Manager repository is licensed under GPL-3.0. The repository states that the manager can be copied, distributed and modified under the license conditions, including source-availability requirements for modifications.
Stable vs development releases
ReVanced also publishes development builds. As of July 29, 2026, the GitHub release feed included 2.7.0 development builds. Development releases can contain newer fixes or features but may be less predictable than the current stable branch.
For a normal installation, use the stable release unless you specifically need a development fix and understand the trade-off.
Safe installation checklist
- Use only revanced.app or the official ReVanced GitHub organization.
- Do not download a “ReVanced Manager” APK from a clone site simply because the filename looks correct.
- Keep Android’s Play Protect and device security features enabled.
- Review the release notes before moving from stable to a development build.
- Keep the original application and any important local data backed up before patching.
Does ReVanced Manager include patched YouTube or YouTube Music?
No. ReVanced Manager is a patching manager, not a bundle of pre-patched proprietary apps. A website offering a ready-made “ReVanced YouTube APK” is providing something different from the official ReVanced Manager distribution.
Version history
SSM Apps tracks verified release references on the app page. We currently list stable 2.6.1 and 2.6.0 from the official ReVanced changelog/release channel. We do not invent historical versions that we have not verified.
Official sources
Bottom line: ReVanced Manager is one of the cleanest ways for SSM Apps to cover the MOD ecosystem because the manager itself is open source and publicly distributed by the project. Use the official release channels, not repackaged copies.
