YouTube revenue does not move directly from Studio to your bank account the moment it appears in Analytics. Monetized creators are paid through AdSense for YouTube, and several checkpoints have to be completed before a payout can be issued.
How YouTube payments work
YouTube Studio shows estimated revenue during the month. Google then finalizes the previous month’s YouTube earnings and adds them to the YouTube payments account in AdSense for YouTube, generally between the 7th and 12th of the following month.
If the account has reached its payment threshold and there are no payment holds, Google says payments are normally issued between the 21st and 26th of the month. The exact arrival date depends on the payment method, banking system, weekends, holidays and time zone.
The payment threshold is currency-specific
Payment thresholds depend on the reporting currency of the payments account. For example, the standard payment threshold for USD accounts is commonly $100. Creators using other currencies should check the threshold shown inside their own AdSense for YouTube account rather than assuming the USD figure applies directly.
Estimated revenue vs finalized earnings
The number shown in YouTube Studio during the month is an estimate, not a bank balance. Finalized earnings can differ because of adjustments such as invalid traffic deductions or other account-level corrections.

Why a YouTube payment may be delayed
- The balance has not reached the payment threshold.
- A payment hold is active. Payment information changes should be completed before the monthly processing cutoff.
- Identity or address verification is incomplete.
- Tax information is missing or needs review.
- No valid payment method is active.
- The payment has been issued but your bank has not completed processing.
Separate YouTube and AdSense payment accounts
If you earn money from both YouTube and traditional AdSense properties, Google may maintain separate payment accounts. Each payment account must independently reach its own threshold before payment can be issued.
Monthly payout checklist

- Tax information is approved.
- Identity and address verification are complete when required.

- There are no active payment holds.
