YouTube Premium MOD APK is a major Android search phrase used by people looking for ad-free playback, background play, screen-off audio, offline downloads and other Premium-style features.
Google’s official YouTube application is proprietary software. SSM Apps does not host or link to an unverified pre-patched YouTube binary. Instead, this page explains the search intent and points users toward the official app, ReVanced Manager and clearly licensed open-source alternatives.
What YouTube Premium MOD APK pages commonly claim
- No video ads
- Background playback
- Screen-off playback
- Offline downloads
- Picture-in-picture
- Premium-quality or additional playback controls
These are third-party MOD claims. Some YouTube Premium benefits depend on the user account and Google services, not only on the installed APK.
Official YouTube for Android
The official package is com.google.android.youtube. Google Play lists Google LLC as the developer and shows more than 10 billion installs.
What YouTube Premium officially includes
Google Play describes Premium benefits as watching without ad interruptions, playing videos while using other apps or while the screen is locked, saving videos for offline viewing and getting YouTube Music Premium access.
Why a pre-patched APK is different from ReVanced Manager
An unknown “YouTube Premium MOD APK” is a redistributed, already-modified proprietary binary. ReVanced Manager is an open-source patching manager distributed by the ReVanced project. That is why SSM Apps provides a direct official download guide for the manager rather than mirroring an unknown pre-patched YouTube APK.

Open-source alternatives
If the primary goal is background playback, SponsorBlock, privacy or independent playback, users can also compare NewPipe, PipePipe, LibreTube and Kreate. Those pages use open-source or independently distributed APKs with clearer licensing.
Offline-download limitations
Official Premium downloads are tied to YouTube’s app, account and content rules. A modified client cannot be assumed to reproduce every Premium download entitlement or service-side restriction.
