YouTube Music Premium MOD APK is a common Android search term used by people looking for background playback, ad-free listening and other Premium-style features without the standard subscription. SSM Apps does not mirror or link to unverified modified YouTube Music binaries because Google’s Android app is proprietary software and redistribution rights for those builds are generally unclear.
What MOD versions commonly claim
- Background playback
- Ad removal
- Audio-only playback
- Higher audio-quality options
- Premium-style interface features
These are common third-party MOD claims, not guarantees from SSM Apps. Modified clients can stop working after service, API, account-entitlement or signature changes.
Official YouTube Music for Android
Google’s official Android package is com.google.android.apps.youtube.music. YouTube Music provides music discovery, playlists, lyrics and audio/video switching, while supported Premium benefits can include ad-free listening, background playback and offline downloads.

Why we do not provide a direct MOD APK here
A modified copy of YouTube Music is not the same thing as an independent open-source client. Without verified modification and redistribution rights, hosting or linking a proprietary pre-patched binary would create an avoidable rights and trust problem. For direct APK downloads, SSM Apps instead publishes independently licensed open-source clients where the binary and source distribution can be verified.
Account and privacy risks
A modified streaming client may handle login tokens, account identifiers, playback requests and device data. A binary rebuilt by an unknown party can also differ from the official application in ways that are difficult to inspect from a filename alone.
Server-side Premium entitlements are another limitation. A local APK modification cannot reliably reproduce every subscription benefit when the service verifies access on its servers.
Open-source alternatives
If your real goal is background playback, SponsorBlock, fewer interruptions or a privacy-oriented YouTube experience, independent open-source clients can provide a clearer distribution path. SSM Apps now maintains direct-download guides for PipePipe, LibreTube, PlayTube and FirTube using versioned F-Droid APK files.
If the official app will not install
Before sideloading an unknown build, check Android compatibility, available storage and Play Protect status. If Google Play reports that the app is incompatible, use our Android compatibility troubleshooting guide rather than installing an unrelated package from an unknown mirror.
Official source
Bottom line: this page covers the search intent and risks around YouTube Music Premium MOD APKs, but SSM Apps does not provide an unverified proprietary MOD binary. Use the official app or a clearly licensed open-source alternative.
